Safe Disposal for A Safer South Whidbey
Welcome to the South Whidbey
Drug Take Back Program
In our continued effort to safeguard the health and well-being of our community, the SW CARES Coalition proudly leads the South Whidbey Drug Take Back Program. This initiative provides a safe, confidential, and environmentally friendly way to dispose of unused or expired medications, helping to prevent substance misuse and protect our environment.

How It Works
Drop-Off Locations:
We have established several convenient drop-off locations across South Whidbey where you can safely dispose of your medications. These locations are accessible and secure.
What You Can Bring:
Prescription medications
Over-the-counter medications
Pet medications
Pills, tablets, and capsules
Just so you know, we cannot accept needles, inhalers, or liquids at these locations.
Why Participate
Unused or expired medications can be a source of potential harm if not disposed of properly. They can lead to accidental poisoning, misuse, and even contribute to environmental damage. Participate in the Drug Take Back Program and contribute to the safety and health of our community.
Be A Part of The Solution
Every bottle of pills adequately disposed of is a step towards a healthier South Whidbey. By participating in the Drug Take Back Program, you're joining a nationwide effort to reduce the risk of drug misuse and ensure a safer environment for all.
Thanks to your effort, the October 2023 Drug Take Back was successful across the U.S.
